How complicated was this operation? You had to drop the gas tank right?

They have a strange ignition system and seem to take forever to start
first try of the day.
Ours got better maybe when we changed the gas filter, but it seems the
CPS has to get a signal before the thing fires, so depending on where
the flywheel is is an issue. I don't think the ones after 91 had this
issue when they changed the computer system over.
I would go for the filter first.
