take a small drill and drill a couple of small nail sized holes to make
reassemble alignment easier. Then drive the pins out and replace them with
like sized bolts with the same length of shank, then put back the zerk
fitting Kaiser used.

No, these are the completely exposed hinges with the dual pins and the
small spring. I'm wondering if it wouldn't just be easier to replace
each entire hinge, assuming that I could find them?
