Grand Cherokee oil level sending unit???
Just added a second jeep to the drive, a 1993 grand (ZJ??), anyways the only
fault it has is that the oil level sending unit is wonkie, anyone know where I can get info on this thing? wiring diagram? or ??? . Thankies Snow... |

Are you sure it is the oil level sensor? There was a service bulletin
on the '93 V8 for this problem. The original fix was to change the level sensor, but it didn't help. The solution was to change the oil level to 5-1/2 qts instead of 5. They also had a modified dipstick showing the new setting, but you could do it with a file on the old one. The sensor for both the V-8 and I-6 is in the side of the oil pan on the passenger side. It's basically a switch, cleaning the connector always works for me. If you need schematics on anything let me know.
