Actually in most US States (all if I'm not mistaken) it's the regs
on vehicle lighting.
(not that anyone actually enforces it)

I thought it was any 4 lights on at any given time??? am I wrong??? anyone?
I was always curious about this, because it drives me NUTS that my 2001 Ford
supercrew does the same thing.........turns the driving lights off when the
high beams come one........
