Going from AOL to Outlook Express need help to read this Newsgroup
I am finally going to get rid of AOL. thats what I use now to read the messages
from this newsgroup. I am going to start using Outlook express and I have tried
to use the help and set it up myself but I cant seem to figure it out. Can
anyone please tell me what I need to do to set it up using Outlook Express.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Going from AOL to Outlook Express need help to read this Newsgroup
do you know your news server?
some dial up companies give you free news server access and others don't.
this will be key for you.
there are some free servers out there but alot of them won't allow you to
post... you can only read. there are other servers that you can pay a small
monthly fee to be able to post. for free ones, just do a google.com search
for 'free news server' you should get plenty of hits
once you know the name of your news server here's what you do:
click 'tools' at the top of your screen
then click 'accounts' on the drop down menu
a small dialogue box will pop up.
click the 'add' button in the top right
then select 'news'
then enter you name, click 'next'
enter your email, click 'next'
then you enter in the crucial news server, click 'next'
click 'finish'
hope this helps,
