My 86 with the T5 tranny has 3.31's, but I also have the Dana 44 rear if
that makes any difference.

If you have the Dana 30 front differential, then:
Common gear ratios from '72-'75 were 3.73, from '76-'79 were 3.54, and
from '80-'86 were 2.73
So it sounds like chances are you have 2.73 in your Dana 30 front end,
so 2.73 in your amc20 rear end. I think you can look on the front end
if it's a Dana 30 and try to find the tag that gives the axle ratio,
but if all else fails then do this:

Yes I do have the dana 30 in the front, it did have the 258 motor, currently
it has a 350 in it. I was trying to avoid having to remove the diff cover
and do the math, but that seems to be the safest. Thanks for the help.
