gasket on oil filter adapter
How difficult is it to replace the gasket on the oil filter adapter? I'm
beginning to have some minor leakage between the adapter and the engine
block. It looks like one large bolt through the center, with a star shaped
socket required. Any precautions or difficulties with seizing or gasket
removal?
thanks!

Cal did pass the time by typing:

Ease depends entirely on that dang bolt and getting a wrench on
it.. :)
It's a torx/star socket. Don't use a regular socket it will
just round out. My book shows 48 ft.lbs for the connector bolt.
But that's for a 93 ZJ. YMMV

Re: gasket on oil filter adapter
If my memory serves, there are three different O rings in that filter
adapter instead of gaskets. The large one by the block was leaking on my 91
Cherokee and I did the cheap fix...clean up and smear a dab of gasket
sealer.
