frame question.
My '76 CJ-7 is going to get a different frame. There is a large boneyard
nearby that I am going to visit tomorrow morning. I want to buy a frame for my '76 if they have anything that can be salvaged. My question, what year frame will work with my current setup. It has the 360 from a wagoneer and the quadratrac. I want to get one with the springs intact so I can (sorry guys) remove the lift. My privates cannot handle the bumpy roads around here with the tight, lifted suspension. Re: frame question.
The springs could be part of your problem, but my guess is you have the
wrong shocks. You can get a brand new frame, and would probably be much happier in the long run. Re: frame question.
I can stand on the front bumper and jump up and down on it and the front of
the jeep barely moves. I weigh about 200 pounds. It has a 6" lift on it. I think, the amount of bounce on a bumpy road is unreal.
