Floor wetness problem
I've got a different question. I have a 2002 TJ Sport, and when we had the
monsoon last week here in Indiana, the drivers floorboard, and behind
passenger seat were wet under the carpets. I had driven through a lot of
rain the day before, and didn't know if water could get up in there. I
checked the drain plugs, and they were intact. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

may be coming up from where the roll bar meets the tub. this was where i had
a persistent leak. if you have half doors make sure when you place the
uppers back on, you hold and position the weather strip tail near the door
hinge away from the inside. this will drain water to the outside instead of
the inside. i also have a '02 tj.
most dealers use an outside water sealer company to fix warranty leaks.
just keep a watchful eye while they repair. the company that finally fixed
mine stated they had many leaks in tj's around the roll bar. if you want to
find and fix the leaks yourself, lift up the carpets and spray a moisture
detector around likely sites. most body shops should have it.

plastic tubing to it so it drains downward or toward the rear of the
vehicle rather than forward.
