flooded engine -- 84 CJ7
I flooded my engine (I think) -- can't get it to start.
I've already tried starting it with my foot to the floor so that the
barrel opens but that didn't seem to work.
Last night the same thing happened.... but it turned out that it
needed gas. I really can't tell if it's flooded or if it's not
getting enough gas. It looks
really wet in the carb.
Any suggestions?

Re: flooded engine -- 84 CJ7
Should be able to see it squirt gas as you pump the accelerator. If it's
getting gas, then check for spark. Take one plug out, connect it and lay it
on the engine block somewhere will it will get grounded. Turn the engine
over and look for spark. Don't hold it with bare hands, it will knock the
crap out of ya!
