Fiberglass bodies
I'm seeing a lot of older jeeps with fiberglass bodies.
I guess the obvious reason for that is rust (and fear of rust) on the
original metal.
But I imagine there are disadvantages to having fiberglass too.
What's the general opinion of them here?
Better to get one with or without FG body, or does it really matter?

Re: Fiberglass bodies
Im looking into this option as well for a replacement for my rusted out CJ body. Anybody have any good info/tips for these. I have priced them from Just Jeeps in Toronto, seem to be around $2500 with the tailgate opening. Any opinions from anyone or a better place to get one?

Re: Fiberglass bodies
We did a few installation form CJ5 to CJ8 all came from Jeep Parts, Jeep Accessories, and Jeep Tops by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware ? Your Jeep Parts Source*, they have and still are in good condition, with or without the tail gate opening. Mine was on the gel coat for almost 10 years. I got rid of it because i could not find a frame in 1999 and sold the body for a 1000.00$. Here's a photo of my brother's CJ7,,,To me it is a good investment if you want to keep your jeep.
