If it is a square, it is likely a socket wrench or a socket extension
will fit right in it.

Tried a 3/8" in socket extension with no luck. I may grind it down to fit,
but the plug will probably just strip out. :-(

I can look at mine tomorrow morning to see if I have any ideas.
Do you know the extension will come up on the ball bearing and need a
hard thump sometimes to fit in the hole? If it seems close enough to
grind, it is the right one likely, just that ball on the side holds
things up.
