You have to consider that this was in the late 50's when I had one
helluva lot more time than money. I also had the benefit of 15-20 older hams in the local MARS group helping - those guys believed that going mobile meant braid straps between every panel, AIR. Back in the fifties, all the high end General Motors cars used a little spiral spring thingie in the wheel bearing cap to ground the drum, for less AM interference. Not exactly the same problem, or discussion, but can you guys comment on the installation of a ground loop isolator to reduce noise in car radio? Does it go in the b+ line ?? At the radio, or at the battery ?? Thanks !! --James-- |
