Re: electrical hookup CB radio on 04 TJ Unlimited
Hi Mike,
Good ideas, I once sold an '86 Thunderbird, because the computer
kept defaulting to the safe mode and would barely run, then usually die
right in the middle of an intersection. I never associated it happen
just the first time I came to a stop sign after transmitting. I thought
it was cute to use the AM-FM-CB combo antenna, which was located at the
right side windshield, about a foot from the computer, inside.

Re: electrical hookup CB radio on 04 TJ Unlimited
This one is wired like mine:
http://www.4x4xplor.com/cb.html
these are similar:
http://jeephorizons.com/tech/xjcb.html
http://members.***.net/revolvr/jeeptech2.htm#CBI
I agree that connecting directly to the battery is the ultimate source. I
don't feel it is necessary for a CB radio. The only thing I connect
directly to the battery is the winch.

Re: electrical hookup CB radio on 04 TJ Unlimited
I was kidding about the linear and the gold plated hardware. Oh yea... make
sure to use some of those big capacitors to improve the bass response of the
high fidelity CB speaker!
