Distributor Cap and Wires
It's raining again, and the YJ (87 - 258) is running like crap again. It
seems like any set of wires I've put on it does doesn't work in the rain.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a specific brand to use. I'm pretty
sure when I tell the parts store "I want the good ones" they sell me the
same ones for twice the price.
When I said I wanted the good plugs, they sold me Bosch Platinum, which I've
since heard aren't so good.

OEM wires from the dealer have a lifetime warranty and are still the
best ones to use from my experience. Same goes for Champion plugs.

I went through 2 sets on my CJ7, one really expensive Accel set that
lasted a couple months and first plug check all the ends fell off. I
went OEM in 2000 and they are still doing great.
Mine recently started getting bitchy in the rain and wet so I figured
cap. I looked and the cap looked like new inside, except.... there
was a hair line crack in the inside coil connection tower. Changed that
and it purrs again.
