Not me anyway... I tried it once, and from what I could tell, it only
removed about 75% of the oil. I finally said screw it, and have
removed the diff cover ever since hehehehe. Pain in the ass, but job
done right.

That is just what I did. Plenty of RTV, no gasket.

metal particles, water, and gunk collect at the lowest point. This is one of
the reasons most auto-trans have no drain plug, they want you to actually
check/change the filter and remove the contaminants.

the reasons most auto-trans have no drain plug, they want you to actually
check/change the filter and remove the contaminants.

I use gaskets and no RTV front and rear. No leaks no problems.
