I spent nearly nine grand on my Dynatracs, fully loaded, far more than the 7500 I put into the used YJ. I'm not looking at what I spent, I look at what I'm saving. Had I bought a new TJ for 20k, I'd still want to upgrade it with beefy axles, higher clearance, and bigger meats. We'd be talking another 12.5k, and this is a vehicle I am going to put through the wringer. Re: Dana 44 for a YJ?
Try purchasing a relatively late model full size jeep and pulling the axles
off that. You will probably have to re-gear them and change the spring pads around (Front is spring under, rear is spring under), but you'll save a bundle, even if you junk the rest of the vehicle. -- Jim 98 TJ SE 90 SJ GW http://www.delawareja.com/gallery/JDJeep98 "Greg" <greglc84@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:WOpbb.1010688$3C2.22542881@news3.calgary.shaw .ca... > I got prices from Dynatrac I think it was, $3,900.00 plus for front and > $2,900.00 plus for rear, with tax and shipping you would be looking at 8 > grand for both, more then most YJs are worth. > > "DirtyBob3Feather" <dirtybob3feather@aol.com> wrote in message > news:20030921110219.08313.00001107@mb-m14.aol.com... > > Anyone know af an aftermarket manufacturer that builds Dana 44's front & > rear > > for the YJ? > > |

Re: Dana 44 for a YJ?
Have to agree with this. I might add though to have a professional welder
relocate the spring pads...
