Yup, sure do and I have one inverted U shaped drag link rod to prove
it. Just on our trails, if I can clear the front axle, I can clear
everything..... Or when I do come down hard in the middle, I guess I am
going slow enough not to rip it up or it is mostly stumps and logs I
have to watch for or all of the above.
Hidden stumps seem to do more damage though..... On our fall run I
hooked a stump on the rear spring anchor and cracked the frame just in
front of it.

What are you doing with that thing Mike, I've nailed my skid twice and
it's only been on the road for a year, or should I say off road, are there
no rocks on that coast?

Opening my big yap is likely going to mean my skid plate is going to
catch hell next trip eh.....
I have this funky rock catcher up front. It is called a drag link arm.
My newest one lasted a week. The next one I am having made with
removable ends and a guarantee I can jack the Jeep up on it with no
damage.
I am in southern Ontario and the trails are mostly woods or I just have
a good eye for line or I just haven't found anything rocky enough to
smash things up on or I just have enough clearance?
I do get into some serious torque situations and explode hubs on a
regular basis (grin) and tear off engine mounts and snap frames so I
guess the skid plate is the least of my worries....

catch hell next trip eh.....
