Cleaning the Differentials??
Hi again,
I'm going to change the gear lube in both the Front and Rear differentials.
Is there a good solvent that I can flush all the old lube out of the axles
with. The last time I sprayed brake or carb cleaner on the gears, but it
didn't get into the axles themselves and after about a month the new lube
was sludged up from the old lube left in the axles.
Thanks again,
Paul
Dana 35 and 44.

Re: Cleaning the Differentials??
Hi Paul,
I wouldn't use a solvent on gears without completely disassembling
them, too many nooks and crannies that hold enough to break down the new
lubricate.
Is that a typo in your signature or do you run the small Bronco 35
front?
