Cherokee fuel pump

I have to replace a fuel pump on my '98 Cherokee. Is there an easier
way of doing this without dropping the fuel tank?

Re: Cherokee fuel pump

Well, my Cherokee has the pump access on the front of the tank so it
doesn't need to be dropped. I think they changed the easy way though so
their mechanic$ could make more money.

No, the tank has to be removed to change the
fuel pump.

Re: Cherokee fuel pump

Haven't people cut an access hole in the floor to do repairs and then close
the hole back up with a plate?
