Re: Check Engine light: loose gas cap LOL!
You should have read that inspection report if you were going to refer to it.
There is a visual inspection of the evaporative controls. There is a functional
test of the gas cap, when it's tested for leakage, as well as a visual
inspection of the cap for proper fit and installation.
The result for the Evaporative Controls Functional test is "N/A".
Meaning: There is no functional test of the evap system performed during the
smog test you're so proud of.
They didn't do a vapor pressure test on your Bronco.

My manual says different. It says to check the hoses and system for
leaks when code 31 comes up. That would include the gas cap....
I will believe the book instead off 'bllsht' any time... LOL!
