The 1991 XJ has no clue if the gas cap is on or off. It has no clue if the evap
system is leaking or not. You can post all the trouble codes you want, the fact
is, the evap system is not monitored for leaks.

system is leaking or not. You can post all the trouble codes you want, the fact
is, the evap system is not monitored for leaks.

You should have read that inspection report if you were going to refer to it.
There is a visual inspection of the evaporative controls. There is a functional
test of the gas cap, when it's tested for leakage, as well as a visual
inspection of the cap for proper fit and installation.
The result for the Evaporative Controls Functional test is "N/A".
Meaning: There is no functional test of the evap system performed during the
smog test you're so proud of.
They didn't do a vapor pressure test on your Bronco.
