Yea, that can happen. Especially if there isnt several repeaters in the area. We
usually run a little off national simplex on the trail, and designate a repeater for
emergencies...one that does phone patch. More and more of our club is getting HAM
radios now. I think there were 17 of us who took the test at the same time a couple
of years ago...

Mine too, I still remeber my call #s, XM12671, funny how i can't remeber
more then one password on the net but I can remember a call sign from 30+
years ago.
