Re: Carfax worth it?
Hi Matt,
Thanks for posting your Carfax, I see when you transferred it to
your company's inventory to begin depreciation tax write off, the
"corporate vehicle" must have triggered the commercial/lease part that
pertains to registration.
You must have been really pissed off when you had to take it right
back in for the same service!

Re: Carfax worth it?
Actually we didn't buy this one, this was a report I ordered last April on a
TJ we were considering for the wifey. I'm guessing it was used as a dealer
demo until it was sold to the first owner.
Anyway, you see in Michigan at least, title transfers do show up on Carfax
reports.

Re: Carfax worth it?
And as you saw, non commercial initial registrations do not, unless
you won't me to spam your address with another hundred of so, as further
proof!

Re: Carfax worth it?
No thanks. But "non commercial initial registrations" are irrelevent as I
never claimed they would show up. I wrote:

You replied: "And for your
information a transfer of ownership is not a record."
What would a title transfer be if not a transfer of ownership?
