Re: can someone offer a headsup?
Possibly a bad u-joint in the front driveshaft, or maybe a bad hub.
Shifting into 4wd just sends torque through the driveshaft to the hubs
which takes out the slack which quiets things up. Neither are that
expensive to repair, if of of them is the problem.
