It should not sound harsh, grinding, howling, or in any way loud. It should
in fact be silent. I dont hear mine when its in gear.

My '94 is a little noisier in 4wd as opposed to 2wd.. more noticeable when
4wd first engaged.. as it warms up, the noise backs off.. on overrun, it is
relatively quiet.. do I have a serious problem here?..
