Because two or three inch blocks would be too much leverage and the
tub brackets and they would break, crash and burn if you had to stop
quickly. Plus it looks silly.

I had old, cracked, crappy body mounts on the YJ when I bought it. I
replaced with polyurethane mounts from Daystar, which just happen to be an
inch taller than stock. No cheesy spacers that way, and one inch doesn't
look silly. The kit was around $125, so the price is right, too.
