alcohol CH3OH which is methanol is.

Bill, you are confusing methyl alcohol (methanol) and ethyl alcohol
(ethanol)

Methyl alcohol is CH3OH and made from wood, natural gas, solid waste or
sewage.

Ethyl Alcohol is CH3CH2OH and is made from mainly corn, but also some other
grains.

You especially don't want to confuse them if you are going to drink one of
them. Methanol is very toxic.

grains.

You especially don't want to confuse them if you are going to drink one of
them. Methanol is very toxic.
