Best manual/book on 1988 Jeep Comanche Eliminator
There's the Hayne's, Chilton, any others? Comments on them? Anyone got one
they want to get rid of?
I want to be able to service and support my new (to me) truck. I'm not
terribly mechanically gifted (much more experienced with computers than
cars), but it's a secondary vechicle to us, so if it takes me a little
longer to get something working, I'm ok. I also don't have the original
owner's manual, so I'd like something to replace that as well.
So far, I know that the serpentine belt is loose, and I've got a bit of an
oil leak to diagnose. Oh yeah, and I need to replace the brake pads.

I ordered the factory service manuals for my 88 MJ. I use the Haynes
manual for a quick lookup, but when it gets at all involved there is

manuals vs. a single one-size-fits-all aftermarket volume.

The 88 FSM is widely available on the internet in PDF form. It is for the XJ
but the MJ is very similar and much of the file has specific MJ schematics
and etc in it. I dont have a link right now for one. Maybe Bill does.
