Few ideas:
Loose battery connection
Corroded groundstrap to engine
Checked the rotor and cap for arc paths or cracks?
Spray some carb cleaner around the base of the carb and listen
to the engine. If it lugs, replace the gasket and check the base
of the carb for warp.
Throw a timing light on it your timing chain may have slipped.

If it was the 93 I6 I'd say Crankshaft Position Sensor, but I dunno if you have one.

Yup...that's what i'm thinking. Last time I drove it...it quit and wouldn't
start. I let it sit for 10 min and still nothing. So I went under the hood and
took the air cleaner assembly off and checked the choke. Then I jiggled the
wires around the distributor and battery tray....turned the key and fired right
up. Most of what you mentioned are right there so I'm pretty close. Heck i've
been meaning to re wire that anyway to prevent something like this...but time
caught up to me.

When you say 'won't turn over' do you mean the starter isn't turning or
it is turning over but not firing up?

I replied from work but it did not take,

Starter turns but no fire, and I just went for a drive, and it died at 40mph, I
poped the clutch, and nothing, I dropped a gear and popped it again, and I drug
the tiers, no fire, rolled to a stop and it fired up after a few tries,

So far it fires back up, but not like it did or should, always takes a 3-7
tries, I don't want to ware out my starter

I could it be related to the new turn key in the column? Other then that it
runs fine,
