Axle problems -- Help again!

Re: Axle problems -- Help again!
Hi Eric,
You're putting it back in the brakes. like the shoes, are not seated
on the anchor stops, maybe an emergency brake cable is too tight and
holding them off to rotate.
You should not feel any up and down movement, but with the "C" clip
axles it would take a micrometer to detect the difference.

Re: Axle problems -- Help again!
Could be the brakes I guess. Wouldn't surprise me, really. They did a
horrible job -- front and rear. The fronts still squeal like crazy, but I
haven't had the time/money to get them fixed (I don't do brakes, as you can
tell).
So that up/down movement (no micrometer needed) is a sign of something?
Maybe it has nothing to do with the popping, but could have something to do
with other issues...
I hate to do it, but I'll probably just drop it off at Brake Check or
something close to the house later this week. It HAS to get fixed SOON.
Thanks again for the help, Bill.
