AX-15 transmission case does not separate

Re: AX-15 transmission case does not separate
I've removed the two snap rings that are necessary, and that was
sufficient to remove the case housing on another transmission. In this
case, it did not do the trick. As I mentioned, I'm at a loss as to
what the case is hanging up on, and am not sure if anyone out there has
experienced something similar?
