Autolite spark plugs in 4.0 L Jeep

Re: Autolite spark plugs in 4.0 L Jeep
I run nothing but Autolite platinum-tipped plugs and in probably nearly
200,000 miles of running them in two 4.0L equipped Jeeps, they've never
fouled. A fouled plug is a result of either something wrong with the engine
or the wrong temperature plug was installed. One thing for sure, Autolites
do not have a reputation for fouling in 4.0L engines. About the only two
plugs that don't have good reputations in the Jeep would be the Bosch Plus4
and, of course, Splitfire snakeoil plugs. :)

Re: Autolite spark plugs in 4.0 L Jeep
I have to agree with Jerry. I've used Autolites in everything with an engine
that I have owned for the last 15 years including boats cars trucks, and
snowmobiles. My first car I owned was a 1968 Dodge Charger. This thing went
through a set of plugs a month when I used Champions in it. I tried AC's
after that with a little better success. Once I switched to Autolites, I ran
the thing as long as I can remember without fouling a plug. I personally
haven't had any luck with Champions other than in my lawn mower. Some people
swear by them, I swear at them.

First rule of spark plugs: If it doesn't start with a pull cord and
have a blade under it, don't use Champions in it.
Buy as set of Bosch Platinum Plus 4s. Worth every cent.

First rule of spark plugs: If it doesn't start with a pull cord and
have a blade under it, don't use Champions in it.
Buy as set of Bosch Platinum Plus 4s. Worth every cent.

Re: Autolite spark plugs in 4.0 L Jeep
Ditto on the Autolite platinum plugs. That is what I will stay with in my
4.0L.
I used Autolite plugs for many years before trying both the Bosch Plus4 and
the Spitfire plugs. Neither one measured up to the Autolite plugs in this
engine, so I'm back to the Autolites.
