NN 242 uses a coupler, that has forced many Cherokees into the junk
yard.

At which time you count your loses and maybe spend the $700 for the flip kit

Why do you think you need to change front axle, when you clock the
Dana 300 from the CJ right side, to the YJ, TJ wrong side?

Isn't that what the flip kit does. When you clock it you are only turning
it up to get rid of the portion that hangs down lower your ground clearance.
The flip kit is the only way I know to get it to come out on the drivers
side.
