They started that while I still lived there. They had a small fleet of
DUKWs, but the Coast Guard would not let them haul passengers out into the
San Diego Bay, only smaller Mission Bay. That killed their idea of a
city/harbor tour, and they struggled to survive.
The rigs they use now are new, and far more seaworthy than the old Ducks.
They may still have some around, I tried to buy one and didn't like the
price.

I think that the Dells tours operates the largest fleet of DUKW's in the US.
Milwaukee used to have a tour operating a British-built "Alvis Stalwart" (not
the DUKW model that the Dells uses):
