AMC still rescuing Krysler??
recent vehicle sales reports shows chrysler admitting that sales of amc's
wrangler are responsible for the pitiful sales gains reported by that company. they shouldda kept the entire amc jeep line instead of systematically destroying it with their dumb and crude make-overs....The end of the Jeep heritage is at hand. Have you seen krysler's ideas for jeep's future? Hold on to the old ones. There won't be any more.. (sigh) NOTE: see liberty |

As of approximately 2007 thru 2009, unless the SUV has some sort of ride height control that can increase drive height, it will no longer be possible to drive over the crunched carcass of that shitbox without using a winch. I wouldn't care to bet how long it will take before Ms. Claybrook and Mr. Ditlow manage to outlaw lift kits on the street. -- Still a Raiders fan, but no longer sure why. |

i agree. the real ones were great. the amc's were sensible
evolvments....the krysler stuff is non-jeep in concept and spells the end of the real- jeep line.... viva the real jeeps, and viva amc.....still alive and well in the wrangler, except for the goofy dash and round headlites and crappy rear bumper and cheapy door panels and lack of grease fittings for u-joints and ...and...and.... Yeah, my `79 CJ-5 is just a Fake Jeep, rattles, leaks and all. Come to think of it, it prolly is. I didn't do a restoration so much as an amazingly life-like re-creation.
