Alarm noises on Liberty
I have noticed that immediately after I have started my Liberty I get a
single alarm bleep with the ABS light flashing on and then another single
alarm before with the oil light (the oil level is fine) I haven't had the
Liberty long and to be honest I always have the radio on so loud even if it
has been doing it before I may not have heard it - of course now I have
noticed it I notice it happens all the time. If anybody could tell me if
this is just a "normal" thing on start up of whether it is something I
should get checked out I would be grateful.

Hi Ang,
The ABS will come for a test to tell us that it's working, the oil
light should be off instantly upon start, providing you have at least
five pounds of oil pressure.

I figured the ABS was a test as it went out immediatley after the chime -
the oil light stays on for about 3-4 seconds after star the second chime
goes then it goes off and doesn't come back on again. The oil level is fine
so that's why I haven't taken it to the dealer and it cerianly isn't leaking
any oil my drive is spotless..........Weird !!

Something wrong, maybe just a bad oil filter check valve, take it
to your Stealership.
