Re: Airbag light on solid
From what I understand, Air bags are NOT dependant on the battery to
deploy, there is a stored charge that has to be discharged in order to
work on them.
Step one is to disconnect the battery, then step two is to discharge
the system. I am taking this from memory from a Saturn manual I had,
but I thought it was applied generically across all air bag equipped
cars.

You are a brave man. Every once in a while the air bag light in my 2001
Chevy Silverado stays on, and the temptaion is to bail out of the seat. I
couldn't even fathom attempting to take it apart. I agree with Mike. Let
someone else deal with this.
