I am not sure about the technicals of this potential setup. I just wanted to
provide you with a link to someone that had done this. However, I do believe
that the author of the posted write-up was using the air-bag system as more
of a load-leveling device than a lifting system. In other words, the
air-bags helped him regain the rear lift that he lost by loading down his
trail rig. He also indicated that he did not have too negative effects on
articulation with the bags being on the rear. So, you might want to e-mail
that guy and ask his opinion. At least he has done this project and has
experience with it.

There's a few guys over in the Rubicon owners forum running it (and
wheeling). "Elff" is one I know of. Useful offroad applications include
being able to run EXACTLY the lift you want to both on and off road, and
changing pressure on the fly in any of the bags to correct an off camber
situation. Seems pretty useful (if not highly expensive) to me.

being able to run EXACTLY the lift you want to both on and off road, and
changing pressure on the fly in any of the bags to correct an off camber
