Re: AAL options?
No not at all. People mix and match all the time. Other options are to get a
donor leaf pack from another xj, cut the eyes off of the main leaf and add
it to your pack with the AAL still in there. One of our guys did that with
decent results.

Re: AAL options?
I put a new rear set of stock leafs in with a 2.5" arch and a
replacement for the first leaf below the main as a 'keeper' spring
already temper arched. They then arched my old front springs and used
the same thicker pre arched replacement keeper spring in them. So pull
one spring, bend the rest some and replace the one idea.
That was back in 1999 and I use my CJ7 pretty hard on the trails. They
haven't sagged a bit and I have a warn hs9000i winch up front to help
the bounce out.

Re: AAL options?
I put a new rear set of stock leafs in with a 2.5" arch and a
replacement for the first leaf below the main as a 'keeper' spring
already temper arched. They then arched my old front springs and used
the same thicker pre arched replacement keeper spring in them. So pull
one spring, bend the rest some and replace the one idea.
That was back in 1999 and I use my CJ7 pretty hard on the trails. They
haven't sagged a bit and I have a warn hs9000i winch up front to help
the bounce out.
