98 Jeep Cherokee Laredo
I have been having a ongoing problem that noones seems to know what is
going on. My jeep be running fine and then while driving it will act like
it is not getting gas anymore and sputter out, idle down and cut off and
then won't start. but if you wait, like overnight, it will start again, I
have put gas treatments in it,and i have replaced the fuel filter. I
stopped doing it for about 2 1/2 weeks after I replaced the fuel filter
but now it is doing it again... Can someone help with a suggestion of what
it may be
Thanks a bunch

Probably crap in your gas tank... keep replacing the
filter, or clean out your tank... probably both!

Put a pressure tester on the rail.
I'm guessing your tank is full of junk and it's packing the new filter.
You can check this by releasing the fuel pressure, dropping the filter,
Seal off the ends with your fingers and give it a good shake then put the
IN side down into a glass.
If you get this

Then your next job is to drain the tank out, take off the fuel pump, then
take the tank to get steam cleaned.
Watch out for treatments, you can overdo it.
