97 Wrangler help please.

Hello,

Need to replace some parts. Thanks for any help.

1) The front steering/suspension damper (Looks like a shock absorber). It is
leaking fluid. Should the tires be on the ground or suspended before
changing this part out?

2) Serpentine engine accessory belt. Looks like just one bolt to loosen the
tensioner. Correct?

Any hints tips appreciated!!
Best,
Creighton

The steering stabilizer is pictured behind the steering drag link
in this picture, it does not support any weight:

Loosen the idler puller shaft bolt also to be able to slide with
the adjustment bolt: http://www.----------.com/serpenti.jpg

Re: 97 Wrangler help please.

don't forget to get the serpentine belt tension gauge (about
$6.00.....cheap) & look in the FSM for specs. I will look in mine if you
e-mail me........
