95 JGC with oil leak
I have a 95 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0L straight six and 108K miles.
Where do these things tend to leak from? Rear main seal? Valve cover?
It's dripping ... I'm tired of it ... and I'm wondering if there's anything
I can really do.
It looks like it MIGHT be from the valve cover gasket ... or the head gasket
.... or not.
Thanks!
Dave

99% of the time it's from the valve cover at the back.
Wipe around the block with some paper towell to get it nice
and clean then check again in a day or so.
You can remove, clean, and reseal the valve cover. A bit messy but
only a two banana job.

What Doug said; usually the rear of the rocker cover. But I just had to
fix a leak on my 95 GC also. The rocker cover was dry, I found out the
leak was from the right angle adapter that the oil filter fits onto. We
had to remove that and replace the three "o" rings. Getting that bolt
loose was no easy task.
Put your finger (engine off) under that adapter and check for a drip.

Re: 95 JGC with oil leak
My oil adapter is leaking also. Any hinks about replacement? You said the
bolt was hard to remove?
