i am about to inherit a 93 ZJ 5.2 V8 AWD jeep and im wondering if there
is anything i can do to get good fuel economy on it?
also the RPM gauge is a little off... at idle it goes to 0 but it goes
up like normal when you drive it, is there an adjustment or a sensor to
replace?
thanks for any help

Keep it tuned. Plugs, cap, rotor, wires, synthetic oil, air the tires
up, dump a can of Syntec fuel systems cleaner in the tank. Other than
that it's no neon so the answer is "Hahahahahahahah" ;) You could go
aftermarket with exhaust and if it is the early 93 V8 with the
skinny intake hood, then you could install a short spacer. Jeep
increased the runner's depth in late 93 because it was restrictive.

That I have no idea.... The gauge is controlled by the ecu (computer) so
it could just be a bad gauge or bent/moved needle. A Jeep dealership can
hook up the test gear and run the gauge through its range.
The rest depends on how well it was maintained and how it was driven.
Oh.. and do take it to a dealership to see that all the recalls have
been done. There are some critical recalls for the 93 year.
