Thanks I'll try to get in to the cowling area to check out the signals
or are they easily accessible under the dash?

To test into the switch you either need to pull the cowling (not impossible
just a bunch of philips screws) or get under the dash like the poster from
ncgcanada.com mentioned in this thread. Odds are he is spot on. You might
have burned out a trace in the module.
