Re: 93 Cherokee Front axle whine
I have a 98 Grand Cherokee Selec Trac and the front end
constantly emits noise it has 69000 miles on it. I would
not call it a whine but you definitely know its there.
Something like the noise of a dragging brake caliper (but it
isn't). If you touch the transfer case lever, you can
intensify the noise. Is anybody familiar with this?

Re: 93 Cherokee Front axle whine
axels don't whine!
just u joints, which usually click if they are very bad,
bearings which usually get worse when turning,
and ring and/or pinions.
usually have a rythmic sound.
find out which and just fix it.
