91 jeep wrangler
Question.. Have 91 jeep wrangler it makes gear grinding noise and will not
go into reverse except in 4low which it works fine... ANY IDEAS ON THIS... |

That doesn't make any sense as the tranfer case is independant of the transmission. Failure to go into gear can be all sorts of things. Is it a standard or automatic transmission? -- DougW |

In that case I'd suspect the clutch is shot. 4lo requires less torque to turn and therefore less power through the clutch and transmission. -- DougW |
