That could be a dead body ground disconnecting the computer from the
engine. It is a wire mesh cable that runs from the rear of the head to
the firewall.

I test them by using a booster cable hooked from the battery negative to
the firewall to see if it starts up.

The ECU is inside the distributor.

I checked that mesh cable and it looks ok. Full conection no breaks or
loose at all. But did like you mentioned and used a booster cable to the
negative on the battery and hooked it up to firewall where the mesh cable
is and started it up but still no start.Thanks for the info though.
