90XJ Renix to 97HO engine swap
I have a 97HO engine from an XJ and I would like to put it in my 90XJ (Renix
FI with EGR). Can I do this without having to cut and splice the harness?
Direct swap or should I just swap the need sensors and such over to the HO
engine? Would the HO intake and injectors work with the 90 computer?

Re: 90XJ Renix to 97HO engine swap
I would just swap the long block, and stick with your computer,
harness, injectors, intake manifold, distributor body and it's pickup,
Crankcase Position Sensor. You can see they go though three CPS, just in
those years:

Re: 90XJ Renix to 97HO engine swap
You can't mix and match systems. Either go all renix or all HO.
