89 Cherokke TCU

Re: 89 Cherokke TCU
Thanks for the replys. I ended up splicing a wire onto the speed
sensor lead going into the TCU connector. I found on old anolog meter
and cliped it onto the speed sensor wire. I have been driving around
for the last week trying to get the shifting to fail and finally it
did. Looks like the speed sensor is getting stuck closed which is
leaving a constant ground on the TCU speed sensor pin. After it sits
for a wile it opens and operates normally. How difficult would it be
to change the sensor. Looks like I have to drop the short drive shaft
going into the transfer case. Has anyone replaced a sensor?? thanks
